Subject Assignment
A student will advance to the next level in a subject area if he/she successfully passes the prerequisite course.
Year Assignment
A student will be "assigned" to the next Grade level if they meet the established criteria listed below. Year Assignments will be a designation used to indicate that the student may possibly graduate if they successfully complete the requirements at each of the remaining Grade levels.
Note: If a student fails a constant subject they must repeat the course before they may advance to the next level.
- Assigned to Grade 9 - Students will be "assigned" to grade 9 if they successfully pass 3 of their grade level constants*. English must be one of the successful courses.
- Assigned to Grade 10 - Students will be "assigned" to grade 10 if they successfully pass 3 of their grade level constants*. English must be one of the successful courses.
- Assigned to Grade 11 - Students will be "assigned" to grade 11 if they can meet the Ministry graduation requirements within two years.
- Assigned to Grade 12 - Students will be "assigned" to grade 12 if they can meet the Ministry graduation requirements by the end of the school year.
* Constants are: English, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Physical Education, and Planning 10.
